Abstract

Structure of gluon polarization tensor and collective excitations in a hot QCD medium is the prime focus of investigation here. The gluonic collective modes obtained as the solutions of the dispersion equations (equivalently the poles of the gluonic propagator) get significant modifications in the presence of the hot QCD medium effects. The refractive that could also be obtained from the polarization tensor by defining the permittivity and permeability of the medium also gets significant impact in the presence of the interactions.
