Abstract

The rotor rotation on foil bearings is considered with the tensor notation of the balance equations of momentum and angular momentum. Linearization of equations close to nominal mode follows to the linear eighth-order system with periodical coefficients. This system can be solved through computer mathematics technique (Mathcad).
