Abstract

Many adolescents and young adults with special healthcare needs (AYASHCN) could benefit from palliative care. The purpose of this chapter is to introduce the basic tenants of palliative care, discuss its utility in AYASHCN in transition, and provide case examples and resources for palliative care in AYASHCN.
