Abstract
Effective counseling or psychotherapy is based on a provider’s ability to know the client’s worldview and his experienced life. A precursor to knowing the client’s worldview is the provider’s ability to know her worldview which is based on her values, beliefs, and biases. This chapter discusses accessing your inner experiences for you to know your own values, beliefs, and biases from a holistic perspective. The holistic perspective enables you to examine inner experiences by unconventional strategies such as uncensored narrative and reflective writing, drawing, and listening to your own body. Reflective experiential learning activities are provided for first-person experience.
