Abstract

To overcome paper map limitations and promote the use of its own digital cartography the ICGC (Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya, the national mapping agency) created, developed and maintains a SaaS (Software as a Service) open platform starting from 2013 that allows anyone to combine all sorts of geodata and publish it online as a new (thematic) map.
