Abstract

Clinical case. Differential diagnosis: Diabetic neuropathy, Amyloidosis, uremic neuropathy, B12 vitamin deficiency, Paraneoplastic autonomic neuropathy, HIV infection, alcoholic neuropathy. Diagnosis: presence of peripheral polyneuropathy, specific blood tests. Main autonomic manifestations of diabetic neuropathy: cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy (CAN), bladder, gastrointestinal, sudomotor and erectile dysfunction. Symptoms management. CAN and survival prognosis.
