Abstract

Clinical case. Differential diagnosis of conditions associated with SFN: metabolic, nutritional, autoimmune, paraneoplastic, drug toxicity, toxic agents, infectious, Amyloidosis, hereditary. Diagnosis: presence of length dependent or length non dependent SFN, intraepidermal skin biopsy. Main autonomic manifestations of SFN neuropathy: sudomotor and vasomotor dysfunction, genitourinary and gastrointestinal symptoms. Therapy: multiple disciplinary management of pain, specific treatment of a recognized associated condition. Prognosis.
