Regression Analysis in Medical Research

Abstract

Time to event regressions are used to describe the percentages of patients having an event in longitudinal studies. However, in survival studies the numbers of events are often disproportionate with time, or checks are not timely made, or changes are sinusoidally due to seasonal effect. Many more mechanisms may bias exponential event patterns. Examples are given as well as appropriate methods for analyses.
