Abstract
The greenhouse effect is caused when gases like methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2) and chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) trap heat in the atmosphere. The greenhouse effect is considered to increase the earth’s average temperatures by 1.5–5 ℃ during the next century, leading to changed regional climates, increase global rainfall and a rise in sea levels up to 50 cm.
