Abstract

Uterine artery embolization (UAE) is a minimally invasive technique used to treat uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, and arteriovenous malformations. Fibroids are tumors that arise from the uterine smooth muscle and can cause significant pressure and bleeding symptoms for women. UAE is also a lifesaving procedure for postpartum hemorrhage or high-risk patients with placental abnormalities.
