  • Ryan Vachon

We started the process of filmmaking with brainstorming and storyboarding. During this procedure, you figured out what media you needed and how to piece these elements into a story. There is a good chance that you have already visualized what certain shots in your film will look like. Now, the burden is on you to procure or capture the necessary footage. You may be temped to be brash and jump into the field with your camera blazing. This is a great mentality for a fun day, however when filming is part of a business or other’s expectations are riding on your footage, some structure is advantageous. How can you take action to prepare for your future days of filming? This chapter reviews tried and true methods for putting all of your ducks in a row before you need to be on the set, in the lab or roaming the conference shooting video.
