Abstract
This chapter provides the flipped learning instructor with the information needed to select the appropriate hardware and software packages for creating videos (vodcasts) and the appropriate platform for housing and sharing those videos. First, the chapter compares the editing features, quizzing functions, size limits, and costs of the most popular screencasting and whiteboard screencasting programs (screencasting programs record events that occur on the computer screen, along with audio narration). Other, less lecture-like options for creating vodcasts are also examined. Second, the chapter explores the costs, size limits, privacy options, quizzing, and monitoring features of video hosting services.
