Abstract

The shah did not know what to do with Silavus because his son refused to bend to his will. Therefore he called upon the high holy priest, who was said to be a miracle-worker. The people regarded the priest as a saint and honoured him with their respect. The shah held him in great esteem, mainly because he had managed to make the church considerably richer than ever before.
