Social Media – Profiling Users Movement Trajectory and Visited Places

Abstract

The following article is an outline of the author’s research on the profiling of social media users based on the places they visit. This is a preliminary research proposal because the author is currently in the first year of doctoral studies. The author in the article presented the reason for interest in social media. The article describes the definition of social media and its characteristics. It also describes some statistics related to mobile users along with a reason to show their importance for future research. In conclusion, the study proposal was described.
