Abstract

Although immediate problems following the delivery of the dentures are solved in the short term, long-term problems may arise in the following days and weeks, which will be uncomfortable and negatively affect the tolerance of the patient. These problems include the fracture of complete dentures, burning mouth syndrome, alveolar bone loss, TMJ disorders, fibrous crest, epulis fissuratum, papillary hyperplasia, denture stomatitis, and angular stomatitis. In this chapter, long-term problems with the complete dentures and their solutions are discussed.
