Abstract

Following the definition of the notation to be employed and some preliminary issues, this chapter presents a number of simple models that display particular features of individuals als system elements, buileing on the view of the individual developed in the two previous chapters. Systems of both equal and non-equal individuals are investigated, and then tyhe process of propagation of beliefs (identity elements) is considered.  Finally, the issue of stability is revisited, using a previously developed model as an illustration of the importance of fluctuations.
