Abstract
In this closing chapter we give an overall synthesis of the book and discuss bursty phenomena in general terms. We revisit our original goals to address the characterisation, observation, modelling and consequences of bursty human dynamics. We discuss the actual position of the field and assign several potential directions and methodological approaches to explore in the future.
