Abstract

Negotiation is an important life skill, which is needed to navigate professional positions as a physician. Knowing your worth, being able to articulate your attributes and your requirements, can lead to greater job satisfaction. Successful negotiation means neither side gets everything they want. Successful negotiation means each side walks away satisfied that they gained on items important to them and conceded on other items.
