Abstract
The following includes a transcript of the speech and lecture that was presented by José María Sobral at the Teatro Politeama Argentino in Buenos Aires on December 19, 1903. The event was sponsored by the Naval Center (Centro Naval) and benefited the Argentine Naval League (Liga Naval Argentina). In the speech, Sobral recounts the challenges and discoveries of the Swedish-Argentine Antarctic Expedition, describes life at Snow Hill and along the Antarctic Peninsula, and sets forth goals for future Argentine expeditions and accomplishments in Antarctica.
