Abstract

Concepts, technologies and tools gathered together under the common label of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) are currently the most dynamically developing area of Management Information Systems. The author’s literature research and practical experience show that there are no sufficient operational analysis and design methods dedicated to ECM. The main focus of this paper is the case study of a big multi-branch organization from the sector of medical services which the author has used to make an attempt at showing tactical perspective and guidelines for creating an ECM implementation model of the enterprise. The described set of integrated perspectives includes: Content, Processes, Organizational Structure, Localization Structure, Business Rules and IT-environment. That set is the foundation of the author’s proposal of comprehensive analytical method named Enterprise Content Management Modeling Method (ECM3). This paper is the first stage of the author’s presentation of the ECM3.
