Abstract

In 1984, Bill Sha in the CT Division at ANL started an initiative to be called the Multiphase Flow Research Institute (MFRI) . This initiative started at about the same time that Mike Petrick in the CMT Division at ANL was starting his initiative to address the erosion issue in fluidized-bed combustors.
