Abstract
This chapter presents some key meeting data, including quotations, from Global Phoenix, in which the researcher analyzes the findings of each meeting using Hymes’s SPEAKING model, the Sherzer and Darnell (Outline guide for the ethnographic study of speech use. In: Gumperz J, Hymes D (eds) Directions in sociolinguistics. Basil Blackwell, London, p 548–554, 1986) Outline Guide for the Ethnographic Study of Speech Use, and Van Leeuwen’s social action network model.
