Abstract
The second chapter details the philosophical puzzle of persistence which was developed in the first chapter: I present the standard “answers” to the puzzle and discuss versions of 3-dimensionalism as well as worm theory and stage theory as example cases of 4-dimensionalism. I end with two remarks: First, I present an argument against ontological 3D-4D-deflationism. Second, provide some brief remarks on special and general relativity as arguments in the persistence debate.
