  • First Online:

Abstract

This chapter presents some current technologies in crowd simulation and it is organized into two parts. First, we present and discuss the main existing state-of-the-art technologies developed with an explicit goal to simulate crowds. Then we present in detail CrowdSim, a new crowd simulation software developed by the authors. This is not a commercial software, however it has been used in many real-life cases, so we can present some performed experiments and our experiences with it in Chap. 4.
