Abstract
Myxoid liposarcoma is the second most common subtype of liposarcoma and accounts for 10% of all soft tissue sarcomas. PET in combination with MRI is excellent at differentiating recurrent tumor from edema, inflammation, and scarring in the patient that has undergone surgery and radiation therapy. Follow-up PET/MR imaging can provide information on changes in tumor size, metabolism, and tumor necrosis and determine response to therapy with decreasing metabolic activity being favorable.
