Abstract

Ethics comes from the Greek word “ethos” referring to a particular group of habits distinguishing an individual and, later, to character. It mainly referred to what was considered to be the right way of living, although the meaning of “what is right” or “rightness” was in no way limited to that expressed in a code of values.
