Abstract
Workplace learning is a complex system consisting of multiple stakeholders, interrelated components, and dynamic and nonlinear relationships among the components. Learning in such contexts tends to become increasingly dynamic, complex, and interdependent, especially in technology-enabled environments. Systems approaches involving systems thinking and systems modeling have shown their potential to transform workplace e-learning by building a holistic understanding and creating scientifically credible approaches to managing e-learning in the workplace. This chapter establishes a holistic understanding of workplace e-learning based on the systems thinking theory and the development of scientific approach to managing e-learning in the workplace based on systems modeling approaches.
