Abstract
This chapter concludes the monograph by a summary and a look into the future of e-learning in the workplace. While most organizations have recognized the need to promote e-learning in formal and informal training programs, there is a clear need to improve workplace learning from pedagogical, social, managerial, and technological perspectives. More substantial efforts are needed to explore how emerging technologies, learning theories and instructional strategies, and organizational systems, structures, and policies can be incorporated into workplace e-learning research and development.
