Abstract

Compared with traditional Gasoline Vehicles, Electric Vehicles have a huge advantage in green energy. But lagging construction of charging stations cannot keep up with development of the electric vehicle. The expensive charging stations require reasonable deployment plan aiming at construction cost. The construction cost of charging stations mainly consists of two items: charging equipment cost and charging station building cost depending on the capacity of charging station and the location of charging station respectively. However, the existing charging stations deployment researches focus on minimizing the time or the distance of charging-trip, instead of construction cost. In this paper, we propose CCOA to optimize location and capacity of charging stations in order to optimize construction cost. To our best knowledge, this is the first charging station deployment study with consideration of both equipment cost and building cost. Evaluation results show that 99.98% charging demand can be meet and 24% cost can be saved by CCOA. Through the comparison with other baselines, our approach can achieve more reliable deployment plan decision with less construction cost.
