Hemiarthroplasty for Cuff Arthropathy

Chapter

Abstract

Hemiarthroplasty is a good option for the patient with cuff arthropathy (a massive rotator cuff tear and osteoarthritis) and good function. This case highlights the steps of hemiarthroplasty for best chances to diminish pain and maintain function. Choosing the patient with the best chances for success and aids for completing the surgery without incising the remaining rotator cuff are included.
