Abstract
Research is not research until it is published! At the end of the project life cycle you will condense your discoveries in a scientific manuscript to be published in a scientific journal. As in every aspect of research, when you do something for the first time, it is always a challenge. Composing your first manuscript is no exception. An author’s worst enemy is the blank piece of paper. Staring at a sheet of white paper while thinking about the potential extent of what you are going to write can be an intimidating experience. In this chapter we will discuss the different types of manuscripts and then take you through the process of producing a scientific manuscript. We provide you with tools to get started and relieve you from that daunting blank piece of paper.
