Abstract

Eight years later, I was reluctant to contact the participants for a third time. It had been 12 years since their graduation. However, I was deeply curious to find out what impact an elite education had on their lives. As alumni, they reflect on how an elite college education has changed their lives both personally and professionally. They also provide advice to low-income students and elite schools. This chapter provides an insight on how an elite college degree creates opportunity for social mobility among this population.
