Abstract
In this chapter, a printed patch antenna with dual sense of circular polarization is presented for MIMO systems. The antenna system consists of a single microstrip patch radiator with two L-type feed-lines for simultaneous left-handed circular polarization (LHCP) and right-handed circular polarization (RHCP) operation. A decoupling network is being incorporated to enhance the isolation between input ports. The designed antenna is targeted for IEEE 802.11 WLAN band (5.725–5.825) GHz applications. The conceptual design procedure, frequency domain simulation and measurement results are discussed for the proposed MIMO antenna with circular-polarization diversity.
