Abstract

We determine the conductivity of the metal by searching for a steady-state solution in complex form, \(\varvec{v}=\tilde{\varvec{v}}\,\mathrm{e}^{-\mathrm{i}\omega t}\), of ( 11.5) in the presence of an oscillating electric field \(\mathbf {E}(\mathbf {r}, t)=\tilde{\mathbf {E}}\,\mathrm{e}^{-\mathrm{i}\omega t}\).
