Abstract

a) The electrostatic field at any point in space is the sum of the fields generated by each charged sphere (superposition principle). The field generated by a single uniformly charged sphere at its interior is \(\mathbf {E}(\mathbf {r})=4\pi k_\mathrm{e}\varrho _0 \mathbf {r}/3\), where \(\varrho _0\) is the charge density and \(\mathbf {r}\) is the position vector relative to the center of the sphere.
