Abstract
A full analysis of the qualitative aspect of the research interviews with the sample of new recruits to the police service over a period of four years is carried out in Chaps. 9 and 10. This chapter focuses on the area of learning. When discussing their learning, the new recruits answered questions about how they can best ‘learn’ to become a police officer and be a part of the policing organisation. They also considered the role and impact of each of the important players in the training process.
