Orbital Cellulitis and Periorbital Infections

Abstract

Necrotizing fasciitis is a rapidly spreading infection of soft tissues that can occasionally affect the periorbital region. Without timely diagnosis and aggressive treatment, the condition can have significant morbidity and mortality. Understanding the pathogenesis, identifying potential risk factors, recognizing the clinical signs and symptoms, and implementing the appropriate antibiotic and surgical treatments are crucial for the successful management of this potentially devastating condition.
