Abstract

Containerization technologies draw attention in modern IT industry. Docker (the open source project), is beginning to be the base for the development projects of most major IT vendors, on both Linux and Windows operating systems. With the growing popularity of operating system isolation, in this paper we propose a solution for containerizing highly distributed systems. The solution is meant to be automated, using data gathered from deployment systems aimed at classically virtualized environments. We also borrow from the 12-factor app pattern, which has its own benefits.
