Abstract
Rohatinski concludes his analysis by demonstrating that the modalities witnessed as economic activity unfolds and the driving forces behind the concrete actions of main actors are much more complex and sensitive than those presented in economic theories and models based on market fundamentalism. Those models, he argues, tend to brush over many relevant economic and non-economic factors that affect the flow of economic activity, and among these neglected factors, time stands out as a critical omission. The analysis shows time flows differently in individual segments of economic activity and, just as importantly, shapes those segments differently. Rohatinski believes a better understanding of the time dimension of economic activity is needed to completely capture its nuances.
