Abstract
Febrile epileptic seizures are generalized convulsions precipitated by fever that is they are a specific response to any type of fever. They are common and often familial. They are either simple of good outcome or complicated with a 10% risk of developing epilepsy. A febrile convulsion is a dramatic experience to parents. Supportive family management and education are essential.
