Abstract
“Other Worlds” considers how scholars discuss human experiences suggesting “alternative” or “other” ways of knowing that are often considered by academic audiences to be illegitimate. What stance should scholars take toward their subjects’ claims to have experienced psi phenomena? How are these experiences to be understood and framed? This chapter draws on various theoretical models that consider viable ways to develop more productive and inclusive research agendas in the social sciences and beyond.
