Abstract
In this chapter, two Swansea-based editors justify the choice of the ‘entrepreneurial learning’ theme for the city region. The post-industrial context of the region is described, and the process of change that led to the adoption of a ‘Learning City’ status by Swansea. This book is seen as part of that process.
