Clinical Cases in Coronary Rotational Atherectomy

Abstract

A 70-year-old Chinese lady presented to the emergency department with 2-day history of worsening chest pain and shortness of breath. She has a background history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. She was known to have left main stem (LMS) and triple-vessel disease (TVD) diagnosed in 2008 but had refused surgery back then. We described a case of using rotational artherectomy in a patient with acute coronary syndrome and cardiogenic shock.
