Abstract
The last section of the book provides a summary of the whole manuscript, highlighting the major findings of the book. More in detail, this section summarizes the relationships between the Internet in China and Chinese civil society; the Internet in China and the role of the private sector; the Internet and the role of the state. Last but not least, this last section shares methodological limitations and possible future lines of research. Namely, new fields to be explored could be: the development of the Internet in the Chinese western provinces; the strategies implemented by Chinese companies to approach foreign markets; the policies developed by the Chinese government to propose a new model of Internet governance.
