The study aimed to analyze the attitude of cattle farmers related to social, environmental, and economic aspects at Trihandiniredjo cattle farmers group in Yogyakarta Province. The research would also calculate environmental cost of cattle farming, which is described in compensation given from farmers or willingness to pay (WTP) and compensation that the community wanted or willingness to accept (WTA). The method of this research was done by survey based on deep interview using questionnaire that is valid and reliable. Data was collected at Trihandiniredjo cattle farmers group. The materials of this research were 30 farmers of Trihandiniredjo cattle farmers group and 30 people from the nearby area. Data were analyzed using product-moment Pearson correlation for validity test, Cronbach alpha for reliability test, and comparison of WTP and WTA value. The results showed that cattle farmers’ attitude toward social aspect was high response and attitude towards environmental and economic aspects was moderate response. Farmer appreciation to the environment was still lack, and they should increase their environmental awareness. WTA (IDR2,240,000.00 per year) was higher than WTP (IDR129,340.00 per year); it means that communities around the cage group disagree with the beef cattle group cage, because it is regarded as a source of pollution.
