Breast Cancer Treatment in Young Women

Changing Paradigms in the Management of Breast Cancer

Abstract

Young women diagnosed with breast cancer present many unique challenges, both in treatment and in terms of management. Some of these considerations include genetic evaluation for cancer predisposing mutations, fertility preservation, and psychosocial issues. The constellation of all of these factors make younger patients with breast cancer require a multidisciplinary team.
