Abstract
Parturients with cardiac disease may have an increased risk of cardiac complications in pregnancy. This section outlines three risk assessment tools for pregnant patients with cardiac disease (CARPREG, ZAHARA, and WHO) that may be useful in preconception counseling, prenatal, and peripartum care.
