Abstract

This chapter focuses on the use of imaging in thyroid nodules, particularly focusing on the use of ultrasound in thyroid nodule imaging. Sonographic patterns of thyroid nodules as well as a newly published lexicon for thyroid ultrasound will be reviewed. The increasing use of various Thyroid Imaging Reporting And Data System (TI-RADS) classification and stratification structures will also be explored.
