Abstract

Smart Education Initiative (SEI) was announced on the 29th June, 2011. Technology trend has been integrated into SMART concept as APPLE’s iPhone and SAMSUNG’s smart phone entered as the big giants into the world market. Korean society is very often called as the front line of smart society embedded with such highly digitized and connected technology. Korean education often cited as the miracle of the 20th century would be the pioneer to open the new millennial world of education by applying the smart technology. Although too many issues and concepts are not yet constructed as the solid ground for the daily guidelines for school teachers and students, the wider and deeper connection among them must be the key engine. This article touches on those issues and implications raised by Korean SEI, which is expected to contribute to build a meaningful step for the new millennial pedagogy.
