Discursive Perspectives on Education Policy and Implementation

Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to provide a general overview of the co-edited volume. Thus, we begin this chapter by providing an abbreviated discussion of the place of language in education policy, noting here the ways in which one might conceptualize a third generation of policy research. Then, we offer a description of the structure of the volume and provide the reader with key “signposts” that might serve to support their engagement with this volume. Finally, we offer a detailed listing of the chapter abstracts.
